TY Challenge
An innovative, teacher-led programme that connects Transition Year students with STEM companies across Cork and Kerry. Through mentorship, real-world projects, and industry visits, students gain hands-on experience, build key skills, and explore exciting STEM career pathways.

Core Activities Across Our Programmes
We run a range of exciting initiatives to engage learners and connect education with the real world of STEM:

STEM Fairs, Festivals, Conferences
These dynamic public events showcase cutting edge innovations, provide interactive exhibits and demos, and connect learners with inspiring role models from STEM industries.

Workshops & Classroom Activities
Workshops are tailored to different age groups and curriculum areas, and often delivered in partnership with local STEM businesses or education providers.

Industry Visits & Placements
We arrange opportunities for students and teachers to visit STEM workplaces and experience industry environments first-hand, from engineering facilities to life sciences labs to tech hubs.

Mentoring Programmes
Through talks, workshops, one-to-one mentoring or small-group sessions, students gain valuable career guidance, build confidence, and learn about different STEM routes.

Online STEM Resources
We aim to make STEM learning accessible to all, with materials designed to suit diverse learners, age groups, and family contexts.

Teacher Training & Support
This includes CPD workshops, industry engagement programmes for teachers, and peer-to-peer networks where educators can share best practice and innovative approaches.
