TY Challenge – Kick off Nov 2025 – Sign up
September 5, 2025
Inspiring Transition Year students through real-world STEM problem solving and industry collaboration.
What is the TY STEM Challenge?
The TY STEM Challenge is an exciting initiative from STEM South West that empowers Transition Year (TY) students to engage in hands-on, team-based problem solving with real-world relevance.
Students will work on STEM-themed challenges in collaboration with local businesses and mentors, gaining insights into how STEM shapes the world around them — and discovering their own potential along the way.
The programme promotes creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration — key 21st-century skills — while giving students an early taste of life in STEM industries.
