This growing enthusiasm has reinforced the event’s critical role in shaping STEM aspirations. In 2025, we are expanding the expo even further — welcoming more exhibitors, deeper industry involvement, and new opportunities to connect Ireland’s future talent with the employers and educators who will guide them forward.

“For students, STEM is not just a pathway to incredible careers but a chance to contribute to solving the world’s most urgent problems – from healthcare and climate change to housing and energy.”

Mary Good, Chair of STEM South West

Ireland’s position as a global innovation leader depends on the next generation. STEM South West estimates that at least 35% of Ireland’s 964,000 primary and secondary students will need to pursue STEM education to meet future workforce needs. With female participation already at 40% of STEM students at third level, we’re making progress — but we need more momentum.

This event is part of that effort — to spark interest, remove barriers, and illuminate the diverse and exciting futures STEM can offer.
