In August 2025, STEM South West will officially launch the Adopt a School programme via an interactive online webinar open to educators, business partners, and community leaders.
The webinar will:
Outline the programme goals, structure, and benefits
Share success stories from past school–industry partnerships
Provide guidance on how schools and businesses can sign up
Include a Q&A session with participating educators and employers
Call for Participation:
Schools across the South West will be invited to register interest
Businesses of all sizes will be encouraged to adopt a local school and contribute through mentoring, talks, workshops, or project support
Registration portal will open following the webinar
Objectives:
Create meaningful, sustained connections between education and industry
Offer students direct insights into STEM careers and workplaces
Give businesses an opportunity to invest in their future talent pipeline
Enrich classroom learning through real-world applications
