Before making your submission, please ensure the following:

Items Checklist

Items for Adjudication purposes

  • Online Entry Form (required)
  • Supporting Document (optional) Max file size: 8MB
  • Video (optional) Max file size 128MB. Accepted file types: .MP4, .MOV. Max 3 mins in length. Resolution 640 x 480 minimum.

Item for Awards Event Production Purposes

  • A high-quality version of your organisation logo: JPG & PNG files only. Image resolution must be at least 300dpi. This will be used in the Awards’ AV presentation. Max file size: 8MB

Step-by-Step Guide

To submit your entry follow these steps:

  • Entrant Details
    • Click the Enter Now button in your chosen category and complete your contact details, organisation information, who will be your organisation’s representative at the Awards ceremony to accept the award if your entry wins, and project information in response to the questions and within the word limits outlined.
    • Entrant must be based in the Cork/Kerry region.
  • File Upload:       
    • Supporting document (optional)
    • Video (optional)
    • Organisation logo (required). In JPEG or PNG format. Image resolution must be at least 300dpi. The maximum file size is 8MB.
  • Terms and Conditions: Submitting an entry or booking a seat at the Event confirms your agreement with these Terms and Conditions:
    • Our Terms and Conditions. Please note that by doing so that you agree to send at least 1 representative to attend the Awards Ceremony should your organisation be shortlisted.

Description

Attracting and retaining diverse and talented individuals is essential for driving innovation and safeguarding the future success of STEM expertise in the Southwest. Nurturing development opportunities for the next generation is key to achieving this. 

The “STEM Company of the Year” award celebrates organisations leading the way in creating a proactive, inclusive and supportive environment for STEM, both within their own company and through outreach initiatives. Entries for this category should outline the organisation’s corporate culture, development opportunities, and commitment to supporting, upskilling and empowering STEM professionals. Any specific initiatives developed to encourage and inspire the next generation to consider future studies and career choices in the STEM sector can be included.

Eligible

Based in the Cork/Kerry region.

Any organisation who is driving innovative ways in attracting and retaining STEM expertise, along with inspiring and nurturing participation in STEM.

Start-up & Small Companies:
<50 Employees

Small to Medium Companies:

Nurturing innovation in the education and development of the next generation is essential to the future success of STEM in the Southwest. 

The “STEM in Education” award celebrates educational institutes, departments and classroom-led initiatives that show the way toward creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment for STEM. Applications are also welcome from individual contributors, such as educators, lecturers, teachers, and career guidance professionals.

This educational initiative demonstrates a commitment to inspiring, supporting, and empowering the next generation to engage in STEM-related topics. It also demonstrates an innovative approach and robust learning opportunities for students.

Based in the Cork/Kerry region

Any educational institute or initiative (primary, secondary or third level) inspiring and nurturing participation in STEM.

Description

The “TY Challenge of the Year” award celebrates initiatives that are leading the way in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for STEM in Transition Year (TY). This Challenge will have created an excellent development and learning opportunity, inspiring the next generation, and have resulted in the empowerment and upskilling of those who participated.

Any post-primary school involved in the STEM TY Challenge.
