Entry Rules
- All entries must be submitted using the online entry form.
- All entry forms must be completed before the deadline.
- Candidates can be self-nominated or nominated by another person.
- You may edit your entry after submitting, up until the entry deadline.
- Please make sure all your personal details are entered accurately, including contact details, as this will be used in the awards presentation if selected as a finalist.
- You may enter across any number of categories and be shortlisted in a maximum of 2 providing that your entry meets the given award criteria.
- Entries should be based on a project from the last 12 months.
- There is no fee for entering the STEM South West Awards.
Terms
- The closing date for entries is 1st November 2026. This date is subject to change at the discretion of the STEM South West Board.
- The decision of the judging panel is final. No correspondence, telephone, email or other communication will be entered into regarding the judges’ decisions.
- By entering, you confirm that the material you submit is your own or that you have permission to use it, and that it does not infringe any third party’s rights.
- Organisations delivering STEM programmes across multiple education levels (e.g. a third-level institution running distinct primary, secondary, and/or third-level initiatives) may submit a separate entry to each relevant category, provided each entry addresses activity specific to that category’s audience and criteria. The same initiative may not be entered more than once across categories.
- The Organisers reserve the right to withdraw or disqualify any entry at their discretion, including where the entry is found to be inaccurate, ineligible, or inappropriate.
- If shortlisted, you consent to your name, project details, and any photographs or video taken at the awards presentation being used by the Organisers for promotional and publicity purposes.
- Personal data provided as part of your entry will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Awards, in line with our Privacy Policy, available by clicking here.
- The Organisers reserve the right to change the date, time, or venue of the awards presentation, or to cancel it, for reasons beyond their reasonable control. Where this happens, the Organisers will notify entrants as soon as possible and, where practical, offer an alternative date.
- The Organisers shall not be liable for any loss or expense incurred by an entrant as a result of a change to, or cancellation of, the awards presentation.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland.
